It's very disappointing, in my case, to have to use ten clicks when my first Save is for saving a file I've just loaded and executed. In the old Dbrowser it took just three: click on Save in lower pane toolbar, click on Save in dialog box, click on Yes. Now I need several double clicks to get to the folder I loaded from and then select the file I loaded.
Okay, it's only the first Save that thus affected, but that's usually the only one I do.

Re: First save no longer remembers most recent load
I've updated the Save/Load dialog box directory defaults, so that the first use of the Save dialog will default to the directory of most recent Load if Load is used first. The first use of the Load dialog will default to the directory of most recent Save if Save is used first.
Otherwise, the user's home directory will be the directory default.
This will be available in the forthcoming update, to be released in early January 2017.
